At the South Dakota State University Foundation (hereinafter referred to as “SDSU Foundation”), protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal information of our donors, alumni, faculty, students, and staff is of the utmost importance.
The SDSU Foundation makes every reasonable effort to respect and protect this personal information.

South Dakota State University, along with the SDSU Foundation and SDSU Alumni Association, are the sole users of the information collected on this site. This Privacy Policy refers specifically to information that is obtained and used by the SDSU Foundation. The SDSU Foundation is not responsible for the use of information by South Dakota State University and the SDSU Alumni Association, as it does not directly control such use. We only have access to and collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact with you.
It is common for the SDSU Foundation to gather and maintain various types of personal information. We request information from you in order to process your donation. To make an online gift to the SDSU Foundation, you must provide contact information (i.e. name, phone, email, and address) and financial information (i.e. payment method details). This information is used to process your donation.
We will not sell or rent the information you provide to us. Unless otherwise required by law, we agree not to make any documents, records, personal information, or other data available to a third party except as reasonably necessary in the conduct of the business and affairs of the SDSU Foundation. The SDSU Foundation employees view your personal information when necessary to serve you. All SDSU Foundation employees are required to adhere to a Confidentiality Policy.

Online Giving
The SDSU Foundation uses Give Campus and Stripe to accept and process contributions via credit card. When making a donation, Stripe and Give Campus collects information as described in their privacy policies. Stripe and Give Campus uses that information to complete the transaction and will share that information with the SDSU Foundation.
