Andrew is the Associate Vice President for Development for the SDSU Foundation, joining the team in June 2024. His previous professional experience includes a long tenure as the Vice President for External Affairs at Upper Iowa University, during which Andrew led development, marketing and communications, and external relations efforts. He also served in elected office for 14 years, including six years in the Iowa House of Representatives and eight years as Mayor of Fayette, Iowa. A native of Hawkeye, Iowa, Andrew earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master in Higher Education Administration from Upper Iowa University. He and his wife, Elissa, live on an acreage just outside of Brookings with their four children.
